A Special Visit from Bishop Michael Inspires Timberscombe Pupils

Bishop Michael, joined by Reverend Kenneth Cross and Reverend Nicola Butt, led an engaging assembly that encouraged children to think about faith, community and future aspirations.
A Special Visit from Bishop Michael
Timberscombe First School had a very special visit from Bishop Michael, who was joined by Reverend Kenneth Cross and Reverend Nicola Butt.
Bishop Michael led a wonderful whole-school assembly, capturing the children’s interest with stories about his role and what it means to be a bishop. Pupils were full of enthusiasm, asking brilliant questions about his work, his special clothing, and the many places he visits as part of his job.
Visits like this provide fantastic opportunities for our pupils to learn about different careers and roles within the community. Meeting people with such a wide range of experiences helps spark curiosity about the world of work and encourages children to start thinking about what they might like to do when they grow up.
We’re very grateful to Bishop Michael, Reverend Kenneth and Reverend Nicola for taking the time to visit our school and inspire our young learners.
