A community encompassing more than just dedicated staff, students, and parents

As part of the Moorland Federation, we deeply value our local community and the fruitful partnerships we have cultivated. Our community encompasses not only our dedicated staff, students, and parents but also the myriad of local organisations, institutions, and natural wonders that enrich our educational experience.

Collaborating with Our Natural Environment

As we are proudly nestled within and around the Exmoor National Park, we are privileged to be immersed in an environment that is rich in natural beauty, biodiversity, and historical significance. Our unique location facilitates a curriculum that actively utilises our surroundings, instilling a sense of respect, curiosity, and stewardship for nature in our students.

Engaging with Local Organisations

We believe that collaboration is key to the holistic development of our students. Hence, we actively engage with a range of local organisations, including the Exmoor National Park, to provide our students with meaningful learning opportunities and experiences.

We are also situated near the sea, offering an array of coastal activities and marine-based learning experiences that are not only fun but foster a sense of adventure and appreciation for marine ecosystems.

Working Closely with the Local Clergy

Our connection with the local clergy helps to enrich our religious education program, allowing our students to explore and understand a variety of faiths and cultures. This engagement fosters a sense of spiritual growth, respect, and understanding among our students.

Support from our Community

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our local community. The strength of these relationships not only contributes to the excellent educational experience we offer but also promotes a sense of unity, belonging, and mutual respect.

The Moorland Federation is not just a group of schools. It is a thriving, collaborative, and supportive community. Here, every child gets to experience a unique blend of rich historical, spiritual, and natural learning environments, setting them up for a future of mindful citizenship and personal success.

Join us in our community journey as we continue to nurture, inspire, and educate the young minds of tomorrow!
