Paul is our charismatic and dedicated Head of School at Dunster First School, where he brings his passion for History and Education to life every day. Paul's enthusiasm for historical learning is infectious, and he is committed to ensuring our curriculum vividly reflects the richness of our local area.

With both a B-Ed and Degree in Education and History, Paul combines deep academic knowledge with a passion for student engagement. His credentials extend further, as he is our Physical Education (PE) Federation curriculum leader, West Somerset Sports association chair, and an esteemed provider of PE staff training to schools.

Paul's commitment to sports is unparalleled. He strives to deliver an extensive sporting offer to all children, across Dunster and the federation schools, akin to the quality found in private education, whenever possible. This dedication extends to his work as one of our federation external trips and visits coordinators, ensuring our pupils get a residential offer.

  • PE Federation Curriculum Leader
  • Chair of the West Somerset Sports Association
  • Certified Mental Health First Aider
  • Experience as a Deputy Head with a focus on diversity and sporting opportunities
  • CCRS certificate for teaching Religious Education within the Catholic sector

Paul's devotion to student wellbeing is evident in his role as a qualified Mental Health First Aider. He leads aspects of wellbeing within our Mental Health and Wellbeing group, underscoring his holistic approach to education.

Having previously worked as a Deputy Head in Sandwell, Paul is experienced in promoting diversity and equal sporting opportunities for all. He was a leader in the Dudley South Sports Association, and this passion carries over to his current role.

In his leisure time, Paul enjoys a dose of outdoor fun with cycling, playing cricket, and walking the dog.

Paul is a man whose dynamic approach to education is shaping future generations one historical adventure at a time.
