Mrs Lizi Pravato

Lizi is Chief Operations Officer for the Moorland Federation, providing strategic leadership across finance, people, operations and organisational development for eight schools and their associated early years settings.

With over 20 years' experience spanning banking, the private sector and public-sector finance, Lizi brings a broad commercial perspective alongside a strong understanding of educational leadership and the challenges of delivering sustainable services across rural communities.

As a member of the Federation's Senior Leadership Team, Lizi works closely with the Executive Headteacher and Governing Body to shape strategic priorities, strengthen financial sustainability and ensure that resources, people and operational systems are aligned with the Federation's ambitions. Her responsibilities encompass financial strategy, workforce planning, HR, estates, compliance, ICT, risk management and organisational improvement.

Lizi is passionate about developing people, building effective teams and creating environments where individuals feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed. She believes that strong leadership combines strategic thinking, sound financial stewardship and compassionate decision-making, enabling organisations to navigate challenges while remaining focused on their purpose.

A committed advocate for inclusion and wellbeing, Lizi is an Includability Ambassador and qualified Money First Aider. She champions positive workplace cultures, equitable opportunities and sustainable approaches to supporting staff.

Outside of work, Lizi enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors and escaping to the beach with her two dogs.
